Well...
This is a very interesting hybrid between your earlier 2005-2006 style and your more polished 2012+ style, it's almost like a symbolic pick to coming back after all this time haha!
I can't really compare this song to Surface because they just don't feel all that similar (maybe if it had more SE like the ones Surface had on it's intro? I don't know), they feel similar but it's more a "yeah they're the same genre and made by the same guy" kinda deal, but it manages to work great as a standalone song anyway so it's not really an issue.
My main criticism is that most melodies on here aren't as memorable as in other songs, and as such this track feels a bit... boring and forgettable compared to other things you've done before (and I mean, stuff like Cerebral Infection was also a fast paced creepy boss fight song and is much more memorable than this, so this is not "it's dark so it's bad"), even though the dynamics are great (much better than anything from 2005-2006 that's for sure) and the mixing is surely better than anything I can personally do, so I really don't want to call this song bad, but I don't want to get all "THE GUY WHOSE MUSIC I LOVED IN THE 2000S IS BACK SO THIS SONG IS PURE PERFECTION" hypey either because you probably have gotten more than enough of these comments. I guess after almost 7 years I held you to a much higher standard.

TL;DR: Good song, interesting mix of styles, the melodies aren't my thing though, but great use of dynamics and mixing anyway.

Very chill and atmospheric, its perfect for studying.

The bass in the intro makes it feel like a weird hybrid between dubstep and alt rock somehow.
I'm not really a huge fan of the vocals but overall the mixing, melodies and instrument choices are very good, nice song :)

Very chill indeed.
I'm not very used to dubstep, much less it's more calm variants (even though they are usually nice to listen to) and as such I was expecting that drop in 0:42 to be much more aggresive, but what happened instead was a really pleasant surprise, it feels very nostalgic.

I loved the rythm, it did indeed feel futuristic, not sure about the time signature as I didnt really bothered on counting beats or anything but it sounded like an unconventional one, so thats nice.
I feel that some percussion could have helped as it felt a bit empty without it at any part, and Im not really sure about commenting on the song feeling too repetitive considering the genre.

Fantastic song! I really love the buildup and the contrast between intense and slower parts, it keeps a pretty interesting dynamic despite being a mostly calm track, if anything I was expecting a more aggresive drop in the 2:00 mark.
I'm not really well versed on electronic music (or music in general) to make a more elaborate comment unfortunately.

Thanks for the kind words! The two minute mark was *supposed* to be a kind of breakdown, but it isn't really that good on reflection xD. That being said, I'm pretty pleased with most other parts of the song.

Lurker mostly, I like music, pixel art and horror art. Sometimes I create content too.
English isn't my native language so sorry in advance if I sound ruder than intended.
